PHARMACOLOGY COMPOUNDS
Essential oil: high level [varies greatly between different strains] +/- thujone, cis-epoxy ochymene. transsabinyl acetate or chrysanthenum acetate
Sesquiterpene bitter principles: including absinthine, anabsinthine, artabsine and matricine
Method of Application: The crumbled herb is used for infusion and decoction. Powdered herb, extracts and tinctures in liquid or solid forms are used for oral administration. Combination with other aromatics is common.
Preparation: To prepare an infusion, pour 150 ml of boiling water over 1/2 teaspoon of the herb, strain after 10 minutes.

Drogu (Used part): It is the above-ground parts collected and dried in flowering condition. There is German E Commission and ESCOP monograph. The main components are sesquiterpene lactones. They are bitter substances. Besides, there are flavonoids, ascorbic acid, caffeic acid and other phenolcarbonic acids. It also contains 0.2% essential oil. This rate changes depending on where it spreads.
To prepare it as tea: It should be in the form of infusion (brewing), 150 ml of hot water is poured on a dessert spoon (1.2 g) herb, left for 5 minutes with its mouth closed, and then filtered.
